The TUC Woodworkers gather each Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. from January to the end of June to do carving and miscellaneous wood projects. The aim of our group is friendship, fellowship, have fun, improving carving and woodworking skills, make chips and sawdust, buzz-z!
TUC has a full woodworking workshop with everything including lathes, scroll saws, band saws, a planner, stationary sanders and a table saw.
New members are more than welcome to join the group and are encourage to contact the church office.
This bridge group consists of 28 members (14 pairs) of ladies from TUC and the community. A schedule is set up in Sept. designating who is hostess/guest. Seven games are played in eight months. In May there is a closing party with lots of bridge, prizes, food and fun. A donation is made to the Thornhill United Church general fund, which comes out of the membership fees charged.
New members are always welcome. We’re always looking for more bridge players; for information contact the church office.
Our small, friendly group meets several times per year for an afternoon of social bridge , typically on the first Saturday of the month at 1 pm. from October until April. There is always room on the spares list and an opportunity for another small group to form.
Senior’s Bridge is a multi-faith group that meets Mondays at one o’clock in the Gathering Place at TUC. We usually have two tables and a couple of spares. Occasionally we have three tables, so we welcome new members or anyone who drops in. After two visits, membership is five dollars. We each put in a dollar every week. Every year at Christmas we donate to the Christmas Assistance Program.
